Is it safe to install electrically controlled dimming glass in the bathroom?

by shibei 07 Jan 2024

Electrically controlled dimming glass for shower rooms and bathrooms is not uncommon, especially in many five-star luxury hotels where the partitions in shower rooms often use dimming glass. Electrically controlled dimming glass can instantly switch between transparency and an opaque state, meeting the needs of guests at any time and enhancing their stay experience. In fact, the application of smart dimming glass is not just about adding ambiance; it is primarily considered from practical and safety perspectives. It possesses all the characteristics of safety glass, ensuring the privacy of customer spaces.

In addition to the visual enlargement and extension, the most important aspect of dimming glass is its ability to save around 10 centimeters of space compared to a brick wall. This not only genuinely increases the space but also provides a more spacious visual effect, reducing the stress of guests during their journey and making their stay more comfortable.

Not only does smart dimming glass excel as a partition, but its application in hotel doors and windows is also remarkable and impressive.

Smart dimming glass has a self-adjustable shading coefficient, allowing independent regulation. It can dynamically adjust the glass transparency and opacity according to changing conditions, effectively regulating indoor temperature. In summer, amidst hot weather, using air conditioning in the room can isolate heat, prevent air conditioning dissipation, and reduce energy consumption. In the opaque state, it also blocks ultraviolet rays. During winter, it provides insulation, eliminates cold, and prevents indoor heat dissipation.

Many people may wonder if there are safety concerns when using dimming glass in bathrooms and shower rooms, given their typically humid conditions and involvement of electrical connections. To address these concerns, we conducted tests by placing the entire dimming glass into a fish tank and inserting our hand into the tank. No issues were observed, indicating that using dimming glass in bathrooms and shower rooms poses no risk of electrical leakage.
